Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White’s characters on The Bear might not have a romantic story line, but the actors are still giving fans plenty of off-screen moments to swoon over. On Tuesday night, the duo attended the Los Angeles premiere for the show’s third season, with Edebiri wearing a floral Loewe dress and White rocking an oyster white Calvin Klein suit. For reasons only they can explain, the two took a minute to play dice on the red carpet — and seemed to be having a great time.

Since the show’s first season, Edebiri and White’s palpable onscreen chemistry has had fans hoping that their characters, Sydney and Carmy, would have some sort of romance — though the actors confirmed this week that it’s not in the cards. Asked if there will be a romantic story line at a press conference on Monday, Edebiri and White both said “no.” White added, “There was no talk in the rooms about any romantic implications” between Carmy and Sydney.
Meanwhile, IRL, a video of White rubbing Edebiri’s back during a baseball game at Chicago’s Wrigley Field in May went viral, leading to speculation that the actors were dating. But White and Edebiri — who have spoken fondly of one another in various interviews — have made it clear that they’re just good friends. White told Vanity Fair last month that he and Edebiri just “enjoy each other in life, on-camera and off-camera.” He added, “I hope that sort of that kind of thing shines through on-camera between Carm and Syd.” We’ll find out tonight when The Bear’s new season hits Hulu.
