Burberry Asks Us: What Is Love?

If February can do one thing for us beyond extending our winter blues at the whim of a mere groundhog, it’s to confront us with perhaps the most important question posed to humankind: What is love?

Burberry has offered us a new campaign featuring their famous, classic trench and new, streamlined silhouettes of it, focused on love just in time for the month: Jodie Turner-Smith walking through the streets of London, looking dewy and angelic; Nicholas Hoult in the pouring rain; Naomi Campbell in the back of a car next to a … knight in shining armor and a wiry little terrier sitting shotgun? Okay! Kate Winslet staring into my soul, causing me to question the meaning of life.

If none of these scenarios spark feelings of romance deep within your soul, might I suggest simply swapping out the faces of these stars in your mind’s eye with that of your crush? Try it. It’s kind of fun. If that doesn’t work, just focus on the cute dogs in the campaign. There’s always love where there are dogs.
