Despite a report earlier in the day, Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have not consciously uncoupled. On Friday, a representative for Johnson denied the claim that she and the Coldplay front man had called it quits.
“The reports are not true,” Johnson’s rep told “Page Six.” “They are happily together.” Phew!
A few hours prior to the clarification, the Daily Mail had reported that the couple were splitting up after seven years together. “Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work,” a source told the British tabloid. “They’ll always have love for each other, but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long term.”
The rumor did seem a little iffy, especially given the fact that back in June a source told People that the couple were “going strong.” “They’ve had ups and downs,” the source said, “but now they’re definitely back on.”
I guess when these two got their infinity-sign tattoos, they really meant it. Time to start planning the long-rumored wedding!
