After three years together, a movie, and a ring, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum have reportedly broken up and called off their engagement, multiple sources tell People. Though neither party has confirmed the split, the report comes on the heels of Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice (the film formerly known as Pussy Island), which starred Tatum and served as the backdrop of their possibly defunct love story. The actors spent much of the film’s promotional tour recommending couples bond over the “hardest possible creative project.” “Art is our love language,” Kravitz told People at the film’s premiere in August. But, if the rumors are to be believed, does that mean Art — or the lack thereof postproduction — was also their undoing?! Please, don’t bother me right now. I’m planning a preemptive moment of silence for myself and the rest of the Zoë-ing shippers.
The duo were first linked in 2021, when they were spotted roaming the streets of New York on a BMX bike. Two years later, in October 2023, Kravitz and Tatum got engaged. Papa Kravitz (a.k.a. Lenny) even gave his blessing on a podcast in June, spilling the beans on potential plans for the couple’s 2025 nuptials. “He fits, and they’re in love,” Lenny said of his would-be son-in-law. “We’re going to have a wedding next year.”
Sadly, if the reports are to be believed, we might not be having a wedding next year. People claims Kravitz and Tatum were last publicly seen together on October 6 while taking in their Blink Twice co-star’s play in Red Hook. The outlet also noted that Kravitz has been spotted multiple times without her engagement ring since then. But until we have coordinating Instagram breakup announcements, I’m holding out hope that the Pussy Islanders will pull through.
The Cut has reached out to Kravitz and Tatum’s teams for comment and will update this post if we hear back.
