There are so many Kennedys in the news right now. One of them is still riding the high of eating pizza with Josh Shapiro at the DNC; another just hung up a failed anti-vaxx presidential campaign to endorse Donald Trump. And now, another member of the family is setting out to make their mark in the news cycle: 36-year-old Kick Kennedy, who tabloids claim has been hanging out with Ben Affleck amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
According to “Page Six,” Affleck and Kennedy recently met up at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge and have been spied at “other hot spots,” presumably around L.A. People claims they’ve been “spending time together” since the end of spring, but according to TMZ, it’s strictly platonic — Kennedy just “thinks highly of Ben.” Affleck weighed in via a spokesperson, who told People there’s “no truth to any” of the rumors — the rep added, for good measure, “I don’t know if they even know each other.” Whatever activities he is or isn’t doing with Kick, Affleck seems to be doing pretty well; he received an order of Jack in the Box at his rental home looking positively radiant on Monday. I’m not lying!
Kick is the second-eldest daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the aforementioned politician who was, until recently, running for president as an independent on a platform consisting mostly of conspiracy theories. Although her take on her father’s political leanings is unclear, an old interview has already resurfaced in which she reminisces about her father chopping off the head of a dead whale and strapping it to the top of their car to drive home. Is this the kind of conversation topic Affleck was looking for all along? Then again, maybe this story is nothing compared to sorting out a divorce sans prenup.
