For over a month now, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have been locked in an increasingly bitter legal battle over what really happened on the set and during the press tour of It Ends With Us. Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation, while Baldoni claims she made up the allegations to salvage her reputation. Most recently, Baldoni pledged to publicly release behind-the-scenes materials from the movie that will purportedly clear his name, while Lively campaigned a judge to block his attorney from speaking to the press.
While the mess unravels even further, it seems Baldoni’s wife, Emily Baldoni, is working to keep her husband’s reputation intact. Though Emily hasn’t commented publicly on the lawsuits, she was seen walking through LAX with Baldoni and their kids in mid-January. A few days later, she dedicated a pointed 41st-birthday post to him during a family vacation in Hawaii. “Happy birthday my love,” she wrote under a family photo of the couple kissing by the beach with their two children. “Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again.”
Baldoni’s mother also praised her son’s “integrity through it all” in her own birthday post, predicting that “Justice and truth will shine … into eternity.” I bet his PR team agrees.
