On Tuesday, Kate Middleton announced that she is in remission four months after finishing her chemotherapy treatment. The Princess of Wales revealed in early 2024 she’d been diagnosed with cancer.
In a thank-you post dedicated to the Royal Marsden hospital, Kate wrote, “It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.”
Since September, when she shared that she’d completed chemotherapy and was focusing on “doing what I can to stay cancer free,” Kate has made a handful of public appearances. Earlier on Tuesday, she surprised patients at the Royal Marsden, where she’s taking on a new role as joint patron, marking her first solo outing since revealing her diagnosis.
“The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional,” Kate wrote of her time at the Royal Marsden, adding that there is “so much to look forward to” in the year ahead.
