For months, tabloid reports have been swirling around the potential demise of Lily Allen and David Harbour’s marriage. Now, People reports that the couple have separated after four years of marriage. “Her marriage has been crumbling, and they have split,” one source said. “She’s devastated and not in a good place.”
Allen and Harbour, better known as the Stranger Things guy, met on Raya and later wed in 2020, complete with an Elvis-impersonator-officiated ceremony in Las Vegas. The singer shares two daughters, 12-year-old Marnie Rose and 13-year-old Ethel Mary, with ex-husband Sam Cooper, and a source told the outlet that their mother’s split from Harbour has “been very hard for her and her girls.”
“It’s been a bad start to the new year, but Lily is tough,” the source added. “She’s very good at prioritizing herself when she has to.”
Per the Independent, fans first noticed Allen had ditched her wedding ring in a December recording of her Miss Me? podcast, during which she also referenced her lonely holiday. Fueling speculation, a source then told the Daily Mail that the couple had gone their separate ways after the 39-year-old caught her husband using the dating app Raya to meet other women. Neither Allen nor Harbour have addressed these rumors, but the singer did reference her “spiraling” mental health in a separate December episode of the BBC podcast.
“I’m just so … I’m really not in a good place,” Allen told her co-host, Miquita Oliver. “I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling and spiraling and spiraling, and it’s got out of control … I just can’t concentrate on anything except the pain that I’m going through.”
