If you thought you saw Nicole Kidman at an AMC in Fort Worth, Texas, semi-recently, you may not have been hallucinating. The actress and reigning queen of the pre-movie experience (sorry, Maria Menounos) actually does go to that place for magic, she recently revealed.
While on the carpet for the season-two premiere of Lioness, Kidman said that she would go to the movies to unwind after filming especially tough scenes. (I guess that show is about female operatives fighting the war on terror? Paramount+ is basically a different planet.) Anyway, Kidman told Entertainment Tonight that she was hitting up the Fort Worth AMC when she wasn’t filming.
“I go to an AMC and I sit there and I hide my face when I come onscreen,” she said. “I even sent the head of AMC, Adam [Aron], a message that the AMC right there in Fort Worth is perfection.”
Elsewhere on the red carpet, Kidman was asked about the possibility of another AMC ad. Drumroll, please …
“Maybe, yes,” Kidman told E! News.
“Yes, you need to talk to Adam,” the actress continued. (Congrats to AMC CEO Adam Aron for getting name-dropped twice on the same carpet.) Kidman explained that if there is a new ad, it’s in the very early stages. “We’re in the making,” she said, “I’m using a Practical Magic term: There’s things brewing.”
You have to admire this woman’s hustle. Not only is she on the carpet for her third TV show of the year, talking about her corporate side hustle, but she’s also dropping references to upcoming projects as well. I wasn’t thinking about the Practical Magic sequel before, but I certainly am now. If you’re seeing Conclave or Venom: The Last Dance this weekend, make sure to salute her.
