Sydney Sweeney has been lifting heavy. The actress is currently shooting an untitled Christy Martin biopic, in which Sweeney plays the iconic female boxer. On Wednesday, she shared photos from the set that reveal she has fully committed to getting jacked as hell.
“Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman — a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring,” Sweeney wrote on Instagram.
The film, which is being helmed by Animal Kingdom director David Michôd, was announced back in May. At the time, Sweeney told Deadline, “I grappled and did kickboxing from 12–19 years old. I’ve been itching to get back into the ring, train, and transform my body.” Well, I have to say, the training is working and she looks incredible. (Shout-out as well to the wig action happening here; great work.)
