When I saw Taylor Swift open for Brad Paisley in 2007, I made a major mistake in not buying any of her merch. Today, a signed version of one of her 2007 tour T-shirts lists for $1,989 on eBay. Whether or not it sells at that sky-high price, one thing is clear: Pre-Eras Tour Taylor tees are now considered rare vintage pieces. Yes, you are officially old.
According to data compiled by a German T-shirt manufacturer, Spreadshirt, Taylor Swift T-shirts are among the most valuable concert tees available, fueled by a jump in search interest since her Eras Tour began in early 2023. Her tour T-shirts sell for an average of $83 each, according to the company, about double the price of the newest tees she’s been selling during the current tour. And shirts from her Fearless Tour can be listed as high as $2,400 on resale sites. Looking on eBay today, most of her old tees are priced between $200 and $1,000. Spreadshirt says these prices put her in the resale realm of Nirvana, Grateful Dead, and Kanye West — artists who consistently draw the highest resale prices for vintage concert tees.
If you’re like Macy, who managed to get Swift to sign a blue tour T-shirt for her in 2007, you may want to consider listing that shirt before the Eras Tour ends in early December. Especially if the shirt features an image of the singer drinking from a teacup while wearing a very Urban Outfitters–esque floral dress and headband. Vintage indeed!
