Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly taken to the hospital in the middle of the night last week. The New York Post reported that Combs, who is currently awaiting trial in a federal sex-trafficking and racketeering case at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, was escorted to a nearby hospital at around 10 p.m. on Thursday night. Combs was reportedly suffering from knee pain and was taken to the hospital for an MRI.
According to the Post, Combs’s knee was “bothering him,” and he was taken to the hospital under cover of darkness so as not to spark any speculation from other inmates or MDC staffers. Combs was apparently taken back to his cell immediately following the MRI.
While Combs is at MDC awaiting his federal trial — in which prosecutors recently filed a superseding indictment that added two new victims to the case — the many civil suits against him are also underway. Combs was supposed to be in court on Monday for one of them, but the hearing was postponed last-minute. It is unclear why the hearing was pushed (and if it has anything to do with his hospital visit) or if it has a new date.
