To which we say: Finally. Miley has been at the edge of embracing her inner stoner for so long that crossing the threshold to unapologetic inhaling in public feels like a relief — the moment when you finally admit to your mom, Yes, I would like to drink the wine at Thanksgiving. And by the way, my boyfriend isn’t staying in the guest room this year. All she has to do now is admit that it totally wasn’t salvia in that bong-ripping video. It was weed. Miley Cyrus likes weed. And she will smoke it sometimes, on her own terms, and you’re just going to have to deal with that.
Let’s start the betting pool for how Miley celebrates 4/20 on Saturday. The obvious route would be a vague tweet about chillaxin’, paired with a blissed-out pic on Instagram. But Miley is also embarrassingly earnest, so my money is on one to three tweets about legalizing marijuana, followed by a series of retweets about peace, love, and happiness.
