Over the weekend, Rita Ora embraced the summer’s perplexing long T-shirt with no pants trend. She was spotted arriving at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood on Saturday night wearing an iridescent T-shirt dress adorned with a portrait of Madame du Barry —Louis XV’s mistress and Marie Antoinette’s nemesis — and, inexplicably, the word Wyoming written in large letters across the hemline. According to Fausto Puglisi, this confounding medley of allusions, from Emanuel Ungaro’s 2015 resort collection, is intended to represent “freedom.”
