If the recent late-summer thunderstorms have taught us anything, it’s that we need to get a functional jacket to protect us from unexpected downpours. For fashion lovers, the latest collaboration between Italian brand M Missoni and sustainable outerwear brand Save the Duck will work just fine.
The two created a limited capsule of two sustainable, genderless outerwear designs: a padded down jacket with bold color-blocking and an anorak in a vibrant checkered Missoni print from the ‘90s. While Margherita Missoni, Creative Director at M Missoni, admits that her brand isn’t completely sustainable just yet, this collaboration is a step in the right direction. Save the Duck makes a portion of their garments from recycled fibers sourced from recycled plastic bottles.
The color-blocked padded down jacket was $490, and the checkered anorak was $710. But now both are available on Missoni.com at 50 percent off.
