Whatever you did this year, your 2024 was probably way less exciting than Billie Eilish’s. She became the most-streamed artist in the world off of the smash success of her new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. She won another Oscar, making her the youngest-ever two-time Academy Award winner. She became somewhat of a gay icon. She went stunt driving, which included her running over a mountain of underwear for her hit “Guess” collaboration with Charli XCX. And she’s had good sex — “a lot” of it.
Eilish revealed all this in “Same Interview: The Eighth Year,” her annual video progress report for Vanity Fair. One of the biggest changes since the last video has been that she’s officially out as queer. “I realized I wanted my face in a vagina,” she told Rolling Stone in a characteristically candid interview this spring, which also included some graphic talk about masturbation. She says she regretted it, but then went on to give us the munch anthem “Lunch.”
