If you thought Cardi B hated Trump before, just wait until you hear what he did to her red bottoms. On Sunday night, the rapper went live on Instagram to vent about her near run-in with the president at the Super Bowl. As you may have noticed, Trump paid a little visit to the Caesars Superdome Sunday to watch the Eagles face off against the Chiefs and also to mock Taylor Swift. Even though he reportedly left around halftime, his Secret Service detail caused some chaos in the stadium, according to Cardi. The victims? Her $3,000 spiked Louboutins.
“I’m fucking mad today,” she said through a mouthful of chips and salsa. “You know Donald Trump and shit? He was at the Super Bowl today … and, oh my gosh, the Secret Service was not playing in this motherfucker. Fucked up my shoes. They stopped all the little carts and shit ’cuz Trump was there.” She added, “This shoe cost me three bands. All cuz of Trump,” before concluding, “Now I really don’t like him.”
I, too, would have preferred not to see Trump’s face during the Super Bowl, but here we are. As for Cardi B, this isn’t her first time beefing with Trump and the MAGA set. After endorsing Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 election, Cardi called out the “Trumpettes” on Instagram, asking them to stop acting like “losers” and insisting they leave her “the fuck alone” following Trump’s victory.
Now, to make up for the trauma her Louboutins have endured, Cardi’s asking for a little favor from Trump: Bring back her “deported” uncle. Since taking office last month, Trump and his goon squad (ICE, Kristi Noem, and her extensions) have carried out chilling deportation raids across the country, forcibly removing undocumented immigrants from their homes and schools. Though Cardi didn’t elaborate further on the details of her uncle’s deportation, she acknowledged Trump “definitely ain’t going to” bring him back.
Let’s all pour one out for Cardi’s downtrodden Louboutins. I hope her closet survives this loss.
