The Super Bowl was a big night for petty grudges. It seems like Donald Trump, who made an appearance but left shortly after halftime, did not want to be outdone by Kendrick Lamar and his Drake-hating bootcut jeans — when Trump’s longtime nemesis Taylor Swift was booed by fans, he seized the opportunity to mock her on Truth Social for the second time in a year.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote on Sunday night, per TMZ. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Trump accompanied the text with side-by-side videos of the crowd booing Swift and applauding him and his daughter Ivanka. His fixation with the singer goes back to 2019, when Swift first publicly criticized him in an open letter during Pride Month. Five years later, after Swift endorsed his opponent Kamala Harris in the lead-up to the 2024 election, Trump told Fox & Friends he was “not a Taylor Swift fan,” before posting on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Isn’t it fun to watch a 78-year-old throw a tantrum online over a woman who won’t give him the time of day?
