Donald Trump was sworn in at the Capitol rotunda today, surrounded by tech billionaires, reluctant Democrats, and his five children, including his 18-year-old son, Barron Trump. Barron was only 10 years old the last time he attended his father’s inauguration in 2017, and though he appears to have worn almost the exact same outfit this time around, he debuted a new hairstyle to celebrate the occasion. I suspect a lot of hair gel was involved.
It’s only natural that Barron, who played a quiet but reportedly crucial role in his father’s return to power, is changing up his look — he is, after all, a freshman at NYU. It’s unclear what exactly his college lifestyle is like — rumors say he’s everything from a “ladies’ man” to a floater handing out his Discord username on campus — but it looks like he invested in some heavy-duty gel for Monday’s inauguration. Where Donald likes to let his pouf roam freely with the wind, Barron wanted every strand locked into place on Monday. Maybe his mom’s jazzy hat inspired him to try something new?
